My name is Kelly "K-Fresh" Frazier. I'm based out of the Detroit area and I'm host of the podcasts Fresh is the Word (music/pop culture) and Renaissance Soul (Detroit Hip Hop History). As a historian of the Detroit scene, I've written about the city's music and culture through various forms of social media along with publications both here in Detroit and internationally. Ever since the age of 12 when I first caught interest in Detroit's rap music and hip-hop culture, I have nearly 30 years of knowledge to share.
